Coast Union High School rests in the Santa Rosa creek valley fringed by lush pine forests and pasture lands, about three miles from the Pacific Ocean in the village of Cambria. Serving a student population of approximately 250 students, from the coastal communities of Cayucos, Cambria, San Simeon, and Southern Big Sur. CUHS is a California Distinguished School, U.S. News and World Report Silver Medalist, and listed as one of Newsweek’s Best American High Schools. CUHS is one of the first public high schools in California to distribute Chromebooks to students on a 1:1 ratio. Class meet in Block Schedule with students attending 8 classes, four classes meeting on an alternating A/B schedule for 88 minute periods.
